E&O insurance

Ohio Notary E&O Insurance

Ohio does not require a notary public surety bond. The Ohio Secretary of State commissions non-attorney notaries for a five-year term after the applicant completes a criminal background check, an approved education program, and a test. Errors and omissions (E&O) insurance is optional and protects the notary.
