Bond only

Utah Notary Bond

Utah requires a four-year, $5,000 notarial bond to qualify for a notary commission. Notaries are commissioned by the Lieutenant Governor's office after passing an exam, clearing a background check, and filing the bond with an oath of office. Errors and omissions (E&O) insurance is separate and optional.
